The scope of this project is to build upon a previous prototype and test a system for simulating vascular defects and vessel branches, using non-biologic materials and testing micro catheter deployment under fluoroscopy. The flow system must be of components that can be sanitized/sterilized so the flow system can run for up to 1-month. The system must simulate the vessel size and complexity (tortuosity) of the main brain vessels of the Circle of Willis (CoW). 3Dprinted vascular systems are preferred, but designs are open to other vessel casting techniques. The team must also incorporate, program, and run the system with our new programmable physiological pulsatile pump for at least 24 hours with minimal leakage.
